This is Rajesh Kokane. have working for 14 year. Done BE Chemical. I have 2 year initial experience in R&D. Then i changed the job. and got exposure to a small scale unit set up- non chemicals and simulaneoulsy beside this was involved in chemical testing, 3rd party inspection and international trade and local sales. as the company grows I got position of factory manager handling staff of 8 -10 and workers 10nos. doing sales, purchases, taxes and all matter related to run a small unit. alter got involved in product development and got succeed in getting few products design and developed at large scale. for this got exposure of advertising, product promotion. the core area remains as R&D and production development.
Now the problem is as have not specelised in a particular field so getting huge problems in switching job.
I need guidance what should I do to get better job and my profile got saturated and growth stopped as working for same company for 12 years.

Very Interesting case.............

Its nice that you put your 100% in the company and got yourself involved in every activity of the company.

Now it has advantages & disadvantages.

Advantage is you learned other department activities which you may not have learned in Big organization.

Because in big organizations you stick to your JD only and even if you tried to learn other things from other departments, Then first thing you face is resistance from their side. which you have not faced in your current company.

You can start your own small scale unit based on your 12 years experience. because you almost you have handled every department of the company,

Disadvantage of this is, you have made your self side to the actual job which suits to your education and your were thrown yourself to the other activities.

Here disadvantage is that you have 12 years experience but still you have less expertise in your own filed of being BE in chemical.

My suggestion is go to the best recruiter tell them the exact situation, get your CV drafted by the expert

or secondly try for small scale unit to get established, or keep trying for better opening.
