Are appointment letters compulsory?
Dear seniors is there any law pertaining to appointment letters/terms of employment? this hotel i work for has never given its employees an appointment letter. they have always given offers letters and thats it. none of the employees ever asked for their appointment letter either. i joined recently and since i joined the hr department i got the company to give me an appointment letter for my self with terms of employment and i make sure that new employees get it as well. but i need to know if giving appointment letters is compulsory or does it depend on the company if they want to give one? thanks anu

Delay appointment letter
Dear all can anyone guide me that if there have been a large number of employees who were not issued appointment letters at the time of joining but all formalities such as pf esi gratuity n everything has been paid by the employer then is there any problem in issuing the appointment letters now? the delay may be a long as 10 years? can the be made n now? regards ashish
Appointment letter for specific period
Dear seniors i am hr executive of it company. we have not issued any appointment letter to senior employees so far as it was verbal agreement between employees and employer. now we are planning to issue appointment letter for them. as we are it company working depends on other companies projects. sothere is no permanent projects in our company. in this case how we can issue the appointmnet letters to employees. can we give appointment letters for specific period? will it be sort of contact employment and if yes what will be the conditions should considered while issuing appointment letters? kindly guide me.
No appointment letter
Hi seniors i joined an mnc two years back but till date i did not receive my appointment letter from hr. all my coworkers got there appointment letters after a month of joining even some joined after my joining got there appointment letter on time. whenever i ask my hr for appointment letter he denies and say company do not provide appointment letter to employees & at the same time when i ask him that all my coworkers got there appointment letter on time than why not me? they have no answer for me & say you have salary slips & attendance show them as a proof whenever you join new company. two freshers joined after me with same designation they got there appointment letter on time and there salary is also rs. 5000 more than me. when i ask the reason to hr. again no answer. it seems like i am just wasting my time with here. please advice what to do.
Are e-signed appointment letters legally acceptable
Hi all i wanted to check if the electronically signed appointment letters are considered legally. i recently got to know that in the court an esigned appointment letter is not considered as a strong evidence that the document was signed by the employee. however i was skeptical on this as most of the companies nowadays collect the esigned copies of the appointment letter. can someone advise?
