Dear Seniors,

We are medical device manufacturers having factory location in navi Mumbai.

We have four mathadis working under third party union.

I want clarity on following part.

1.We have a toli registered on daily wages for year and do not need them later on daily wages. Can we register other mathadi union?

2)If we dont want to register to that particular union or in fact any other third party union ,because i know that once i register to this union, there will be problems in future, as this person( one who has approached me) is a nuisance.

3)We have fix loading unloading labours ,can i register them as unprotected labour directly to the mathadi board ,without any third party union , If yes then i register them in and whats the procedure.

4)Our finished goods packed in small boxes which later goes through container. Box wages would be so higher for us, can we fix rates of mathadi on tonnage?.

5)Currently we are paying daily wages but other than that mathadi labours takes money for unloading of raw material vehicles which is also burden as this amount is also high. They defend this as 'that money is their right'?Is this true?

Current mathadi union is under local politician they have forced management to take their services,we dont have much to do about mathadi labours?

Your reply would be greatly appreciated. We are in urgent need of guidance.
