My friend's father has a company and he has worked in his firm for more than 5 years. Due some diffrences he left the firm.. Whenever he goes for an interview and he mentions he has worked for for the last 5 years in a firm owned by his father. There is always a negative attitude from the interviewer.
Is working in a parents company wrong, why is it not looked as an experience.
Any suggestions and tips on the same.

Dear Olivia
Hereafter ask him to explain the company details as he is having in mind but ask him to stop mentioning his fathers name which is going against his selection. There is no wrong in not mentioning his father company.

Thanks for the reply, but when the verification after the interview is done.. (past experience details, etc. ) at that point this issue appears. It is tricky whether he mentions it at the interview or not..

A manager can sign his experience letter in place of his father, under no verification the name of owner comes in frame, only the name of firm displays
