Usually interviewer asks same question to start "tell me something about yourself". I would rather give answer "As you have my resume you will have some brief details about me, so would like to let you know which is not in resume and thus you may start with more positive approach to interview and interviewer will find you confident to talk further and will also create good impact about you and your resume. As most of us used to copy the format so by giving such unique answer interviewer may feel that you have drafted your resume by own and you know what you have mentioned in this. Many a time i have found candidates don't know which information are provided in their own resumes.
Always try to not to be monotonous and tone should not be flat. Be energetic and you should sound confident in each answer.
Best for luck for next time.
