DEAR SIR, 18 EMPLOYEES ARE WORKING IN OUR FIRM. AS PER KARNATAKA GOVT. MINIMUM WAGES ACT, WE HAVE TO PAY Rs.6751.20 FROM APRIL 2015. HOW MUCH P.F. PER EMPLOYEE .IS PAYABLE BY OUR FIRM? SHOULD WE ADD 1.10% + INSURANCE CHARGES IN ADDITION TO THIS 12% ? (TILL TO-DAY WE HAVE NOT ENROLLED FOR PROVIDENT FUND) PLEASE ENLIGHTEN US IN THIS REGARD
Dear Harsa As per PF act you should deduct on current MW. And Adm charges reduced 1.10℅ to 0.85% wet Jan 15
If you have only 18 employees why do you worry about EPF .It is not applicable .If you have 20 or more persons It will be applicable .Admin charges is 0.85% not 1.10%.

It is employers discrimination about PF DEDUCTION and it doesn't matter how many employee or workman working there...
You can deduct pf if 10 persons working there
Otherwise below 10 u can obtain code only for future plan

Dear Harsha,
Under the EPF Act , your Firm is not falling as the total number of empoyees is less than 20. So it is not mandatory on your part to take registration. However, if you wish , you may apply for registration volunterly under the Act.
You please may proceed by the decision / policy of the company

Dear Sibabrat Majumdar We are told that now the minimum employees number is 10 for P F liability .Please clarify
It is only a proposal to apply the EPF Act to establishment with ten or more persons. It hasn’t become law.
The EPF Act has not yet amended . Still for the purpose of obtaining registration under the EPF Act , it is 20 or more employees .The proposal does not mean law enacted. When the law will be amended, we can discuss the matter at length.
Dear Sir,
In Karnataka State Minimum wages under Shops & Esta.Act is Rs.6751.If a deduction of 12% employees contribution in this i.e.Rs.810/- is done , a net payment of Rs.5,941/- is payable as net salary. Is the stand correct ? please clarify.
