Hi Pramod what your company said is true. As per Section - 4(A) of Payment of gratuity company has to tie up with LIC agencies for gratuity amount. But usually it takes lessthan 1 month only but any way pls contact HR of your previous company once about your FNF

Whether the LIC pays or not it is the employer's liability to pay gratuity within thirty days after resignation. But ensure that company is covered by POG Act and you have more than five years continuous service with this employer.
If you do not get gratuity ,file a claim petition before the controlling authority under the Gratuity Act.

Mr Praveen Please check whether Sec 4 A of Payment of Gratuity has been enforced or not? To my knowledge it is not.
