Planning of CSR activities.
Many corporate bosses are searching for deserving CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities which have become mandatory since 2014. Often the HR manager carries them out under the guidance of local quasi-political individuals, without being sure whether the funds spent by the organization have really been utilized justifiable. For the corporate to carry out the CSR activities with a consistency & trust, Rotary Club of Pune Shivajinagar has proved to be the best medium. It is part of Rotary International which spends millions in doing socially relevant work through it’s 1.2 million membership spread over more than 200 countries. Rotary will carry out the activities using it’s vast experience and network of capable associates without loading it’s expenses on the contributing organization.
The activities are broadly spread in 6 focus areas of Disease Prevention & treatment, Water & Sanitation, Maternal & child health, Basic education & literacy, Peace & conflict resolution and Economic & community development with special emphasis on mega activities like ‘Happy Village’, ‘TEACH’ and many more. The supporting corporate needs to only mention it’s preferred area of support. Those interested may contact Rotarian Kiran Walimbe for guidance & implementation. (rtnkiranwalimbe@gmail.com)
