Hi All,

I am working in a CMMI level 3 company from Apr 2015 as Senior Software Engineer, the project in which I was working got closed due to some client management issues. Now my employer has issued me 1 month notice to terminate my job. I was hired as a Permanent employee and this termination is not due to non performer as client has given good feedback to me. I am still in probation period of 6 months as per the offer letter its 1 month notice period later when confirmed its 2 month notice.

My question is can a employer issue notice to you just because the assignment got closed and that to even just after 10 days of closer of the project.
Can I demand and compensation as per law as it's a disturbance in my career without my mistake, finding a right job will take some time

So legal experts please share some idea here, I feel cheated here as it was not mentioned anywhere in the offer letter that if you are in bench then they will fire you by giving one month notice.

Thanks Mate,
Even I am having the same thought, But on the ethics I feel really bad as I have delivered the project with two successful releases with lots of tuning done to the old code to perform better. Doing such a good job and deserving a termination at the end really hurts.
I hope going forward government should come with strict rules to companies regarding termination policies. As job is not a game where you take a person into your team and next day through him out of no reason.
