Dear Sir/Mam, Good afternoon to all, I am Prasanna Working as an Industrial Relations in MNC in the field of Construction and my Post Graduation is MSW-HR, Can I switch over from IR to HR whether it is possible or not. Please help me with your valuable suggestions.
shifting HR to IR is difficult process where you need to labour laws, people management, but IR to HR is simple process where you need to compete with many professionals. IR persons are rare comparing to HR persons. We do not know who suggested to change. you continue with IR tag and gain more laurels.
same problem i m facing i m working as IR specialist and MBA in HRM, i want to learn overall HR
As per kumaracme its good that you are in IR. IR is also a part of HR. And if you wanna change than also good because you will get more knowledge in HR as well as IR.
Hi Prasana, My answer YES you can, I am also MSW-HR student. As you were IR till now, it take some time to settle as HR person but surely it can do able . Go for it With Regards Mr.Thumbs Up

As Said by Mr. Jagat Kumar, shifting from HR to IR is difficult but it is easy to shift from IR to HR. Whenever the functions of Proactive HR Fails the functions of reactive IR starts. Normally, the HR will have normal work and anyone can perform. But in IR, one must have good knowledge in Law as well as good interpersonal skills. If you want to have challenging life, continue in IR. But if you want a peaceful life then select the HR Field. Wish you all the success in the line you opt.

HR, IR AND DISCIPLINE MANAGEMENT. IR MAN SHOULD HV THE HR POLICY OF THE COMPANY TO SOLVE IR ISSUE. IN THE MEANWHILE IR MAN SHOULD NOT INVOLVE IN THE DISCIPLINE MANAGEMENT, IT CREATES THE NEGATIVE SHADE OF IR MAN. PL KEEP DISTANCE FROM DISCIPLINE MATTERS.
