Rupail,
I have faced the similar problem when I joined in the present organisation five years ago. I was the only person in the HR handling everything. I had to start from the scratch. But as the time passes by, I have learnt and implemented many HR practices and it's really a learning experience for me. To learn and implement, its not necessary that one need to have seniors to teach. You need to update yourself, some of the best practises in the industry. Learn and compare the HR practises in the alike organisations and adopt them based on your oraganisations business and need. This is how you learn.

Dear Rupali,
I had also gone through the same phase in my career, but still i can say that if you have thrill to learn and achieve the same you can do it. With that thrill only i have achieved on the position.
Definitely, you will find problems in ur working but at that time Cite Hr is their to solve ur queries.
If u think that u are not getting better exposure, look for better opportunity and prove urself.
Thanks,
Amit

Dear Rupali,
There are certain things you can look at like health check up for employees, Insurance Policy for them and family. Check if the lighting of the office is adequate, seating facilities. Try to notice what are the difficulties faced by current staff members find solutions. Keep track of the birthday's and gather everyone while giving the card. See if the present vendors are good enough or if you can renegotiate with them to get better facilities for the Company. These are some of the few thoughts that come to mind.

Hi all of you.

I think many of us are travailing in the same bot.

I am the person who has started carer while doing my masters only with one of the trainer.

After completion of MPM taken a opportunity which has come to me, got a chance to work in IT company & now since last 3.4yrs (total) working in HR generalist profile.

In this tenure i have changed 3 organizations.

The reason was that each company was small but better than the first one.Like this now i am working as HR Manager in a mid level IT company having strength of 30 employees.

Prior to this i was working in organization where strength was 70+ but salary & policies was not good.

Now in this organization i am directly reporting to VP Operations.

But while working in thins company i fill like as Assistant to VP Rather than the company where i was working previously, more responsibilities i have good package i am getting but i am not satisfied with the work which i am doing.

I can not take a single decision individually which is related to HR Dept.

Due to all this i am really frustrated & not able to know what to do now

Job change is the only solution or i need to change? i am really confused.

We HR people only use to talk like if some one changes job frequently we use to call then job hopper but wh can one do if this kind of situation comes.

If possible pls guide me on this.

Thanks

Hi Rupali,
As you are working has a HR Executive, let me suggest you to concentrate, observe, and learn. In a corporate no one will teach you what to do or not. See its simple you knew how to eat food, coz you saw everyone around you doing it. Most of the times your senior would be telling you or doing a thing once, it is you who has to improvise on your things which you tend to do. Always watch your back, knowingly and unknowingly there would be people who would be ready to screw you in many ways or other, So try stay out of trouble. Learning will be possible if you stick to an organization, every single moment you are learning something or the other. So stop worrying and do the best to get your learning experience.
Thanks

Hi,
According to doubt, it is generally occupy in the initial to every one, i do not know about your education background and your organization, because if you professional degree in HR there is no much problem to learn and about your working environmental is not known what type of industry you are working support if the Union is well strong position, if IR issue are more then really you need some one's help to take the decision for problem solving, otherwise if it is the IT industry or similar you need not to worry much, even though you can be in touch some neighbor industry HR manager to get an advise whereas your management may not like to leak out the news what is happening in your in organization. any way you better think twice or thrice before taking the decision and mostly the decision should be accepted by your boss, and you can go through some related HR practice to gain more knowledge, Wish you all the best and successful in HR practice.
