You may write the following clause in your offer letter that
"Your Appointment is subject to Verification of Documents & Reference checks. Company has all the rights to take appropriate action against false information provided. "

you should verify all the information ASAP otherwise after false information it is not easy to terminate employee, either we have taken it in written or not, so be careful before hire

Generally there is a practice to obtain an undertaking / declaration in Company Employment Application Form and or a clause in appointment letter that: Declaration / Undertaking:(Sample)
I, the above named applicant do hereby solemnly declare that the above information in the form for employment, is true to the best of my knowledge and belief. In case, any of the above information will at any time be found incorrect, I shall be liable for immediate termination and this would be deemed as part of the contract of employment.

I am fully aware that the post is of contractual nature and will come to an end immediately after the contract period, renewal of contract period or completion of contract, whichever is earlier.

I am not suffering from any disease which may render me unfit for the above post or affect the efficiency of my work. I do have the capacity to work in the post as applied for.

If you have similar declaration in your company employment application form and or appointment letter, and the information / documentation you recd. as a support / proof and found geniune, you may terminate after disclosing the fact to concerned employee in presence of witness.

While Verifying Form 16 Submitted By An Employee Exactly What All Particulars Are Actually Verifed...
I Mean Apart From Verifying TDS Deducted And TDS Certificate No. Can We Verify The Salary Deposited In Account??
I Am Asking This Because If An Employee Have Kept TDS Deducted And Everything Else In Form 16 Unchanged.. And Have Only Adulterated The Salary Paid/ Amount Deposited (Showing More Savings To Match The TDS Deducted Amount)... Then In That Case How To Verify It...
Or Can We Verify The Salary Paid Too Through Same Portal??? I Don't Know... Please Clear My Doubt...
