Halo, I am prof. J A Khan served in Indian Air Force as an airman for 15 years from 1975 to 1990 and took discharge from service with pension benefit. Immediately in 1990, I joined as a lecturer in one of the aided degree college in Maharashtra and here I will served for 26 years till 2016. Getting lecturership was not a defence quota, it was general quota and i was selected based on my academic credential. I think i am fully qualifying for second pension. if so what is the rule? pl. guide me.
Though I know few ex service men who were in central excise, bank and other organisation are getting two pension but nobody is able to quote the guidelines. pl. provide the related guidelines on two pensions.

Dear Jakbmc,
Your present job of lecturer, is this government job? If yes, then you should be eligible for the pension from Govt of Maharashtra.
If your job was in private college then did they deduct your Provident Fund (PF)? If the PF is deducted then you are eligible for pension from PF. On rendering ten years of continuous service, did you receive any communication from PF authorities on eligibility for the half pension? I have seen few cases wherein Karnataka EPFO sending notification for such eligibility.
Your previous job or pension will not have bearing on either pension, be it from Govt of Maharashtra or PF.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Dear Prof Khan,
Look at this link:Dual family pension from Military as well as Civil employment - Clarification.
It may be useful.
I would like to point out spelling mistakes and grammatical mistakes from your side.
Halo is hello and I will served for 26 years till Jun 2016 should have been I would have served for 26 years by Jun 2016.
Dont mind my pointing out grammar and spelling mistakes.

Thanks to NATHRAO AND DINESH DIVEKAR,
First of all i do agree for grammatical error.
Secondly to make it more clear, I am employed in a Maharashtra govt. aided college where qualifying period for pension is 20 years and her, I will be serving for 26 years. I am drawing my salary as per govt. specified scale from govt. of Maharashtra and I have an authentic PF account . Our service in aided college is treated as semi govt service in Maharashtra state.
My doubt was only whether first pension from central govt. will have any bearing in deciding the pension from Maharashtra State Govt. or not.
There are parallel cases. But I am interested in the related guidelines of two pensions.
Naturally if two family pensions is granted , it is a fact that two family pension will mature only when two pensions is granted.
Please help in providing the guidelines of two pensions.
Dr. J A KHAN

Dear Dr Khan,
I am drawing a logical conclusion.
If one can get two family pensions, one can draw two pensions for service rendered in tow different organisations, one of which is semi government as such.
Drawing of pension from military and civil sources is in order to my knowledge.

One of my acquaintances, got retired from state govt. job after completion of 20 yrs. After that he got employed in college teaching job. After completion of the retirement age he got pension from here too. Is he eligible for drawing two pensions--from state govt. and the university-- at a time?
