If fire inspection is mandatory get it done by nearest fire service officials.
Have well marked fire exits,which should be kept clear of obstructions.
Lift not to be used during fire.
Adequate fire extinguishers should be procured and placed at important places.
How to tackle fires:
Always have an evacuation plan for staff and visitors and rehearse them at fixed intervals.
Tackling of fire is easier when it is detected at early stage.
Your fire alarms,detectors should be serviceable always.
Fire station number should be displayed at prominent places.
Exits signs and directions should be fixed at appropriate places and should be visible even in darkness.
Frequent checks of wiring by qualified electrical people should be arranged.
There are many actions to be taken for which the organisation needs to have a firefighting plan in which hazards are listed out,fire precautions planned and tested.
