At a time when Indian workforce is projected to rise significantly in the coming years, we are in real need of HR automation. So is implementation of SAP the only solution for this,Keeping in mind of the SME'S and start ups?
There is an international website: Software comparison | hr | hris which gives ranking of different HRIS offered by so many vendors across the globe. Amongst the HRIS of Indian origin, EmpXtrack has a fairly high ranking, since more than 300 customers across 23 different countries in the world appear to have voted for this software solution.

SAP - HR was certainly a leading brand till state of the art, cloud based, on-line HR solutions came up as new technology offerings at affordable costs. An awakening to replace the old technology platforms has already set in. It shall be in the interest of those venturing to introduce HR automation in their work environment to look out for modern HR platforms which are developed on the approach of 'integrated HR solutions'. This approach enables organizations to automate all their HR processes, year over the year, as per available budgets, without the need of engaging experts for inter process integration. 'EmpXtrack' is probably the only HR platform which is fully integrated to create customized solutions for talent management, career planning, succession planning and a host of other data based solutions. Needs of all industries & Govt. organizations are fully met by 'EmpXtrack. It offers free trial & a number of presentations on their website.

With increase in the number of startups, the web world is booming with new technologies swiftly entering the market. Hi,
Indeed HR automation is the need of the time but I am not sure whether SAP can serve the purpose or not. I have worked on HR module of SAP and it is cumbersome and not customized as per Indian industry. Its better to look out for individual solutions (recruitment tools, training tools etc.) rather than spending crores on SAP technology.
Thanks
Aditi

The old way of doing things is the excel sheet way. Nowadays you also have the option of outsourcing your payroll and HR compliance jobs. HR and Payroll softwares are become an important time saving resource.
