Follow laid down procedure for quitting the organisation.
Written application giving reasons and date by which you require release.
Release has nothing to do with salary cycle.
You should be paid for the one month you have worked during notice period.
Leaving the company by means of mere email will hamper chances of jobs in other private companies.Most big and good companies do background check and verification of details in your CV before appointment.
Leave on clean slate.
If you read other threads in this learned forum ,you will see problems faced by some who had left without notice,hidden information etc.
Keep your departure from your present company as comfortable and clean as possible.
