We are engineering manufacturing company. total no of working hours is 9 hours 8 hours working and 30 min lunch 15 min tea break twice. is this legal? as no of hours worker is in office is 54 per week but working hours is 48.

Is there any law for the maximum working hours in bpo. i work for 10 hours of shift which can be a night shift or a day shift. this 10 hours includes 1 hour break. these 10 hours are extended upto 11 hours everyday. earlier we use to do 9 hour shift 8 hrs working 1 hr break no night shift. and these 9 hrs were also extended upto 10 hrs. suddenly the working hours are increased from 9 hrs to 10 hrs and we have to do night shifts now. but there is no change in our salary. no hike as there is increase in working hrs. and no night shift allowance.

Due to covid 19, as per union request we agreed for 7 hours working (6 week days) - surpassing the maximum working hours permissible
Due to covid as per union request we agreed for 7 hours working 6 week days including lunch break of 30 minutes and the shortfall in working hours wil be compensated once situation becomes normal. now since lock down is relaxed union is proposing to increase working hours to 9hrs per day 6week days including 30 minutes lunch break to compensate shortfall thereby making total working hours to 51 hours. this is surpassing the maximum working hours permissible in a week of 48 hours as per factory act. now whether it will violate factory act 1948. please advise.

If an organisation has working hrs per day of 9.30 including lunch of half an hour from 9 to 6.30 for 5 days is it correct as per law? the total hours in a week comes to 9.305 46.50 hours. in calculation of total hours in a week do we include lunch break? in calculation of per day hours do we include lunch hours in 9 hours or 9.30 hours is correct? is the above calculation done correct and valid as per law? also wanted to kno if 30 mins lunch break is correct? i have gone through many of related threads. am putting this msg just to confirm my query. plz help me with yr opinion.
