Employment in construction of buildings and other strucures stands already brought into the schedule of the Minimum Wages Act,1948 by various State Governments. Certainly there would be difference between the minimum wages and market wages. Given the spurt in the construction industry through out the country and the dearth of experienced labour, the market wages would be certainly more. So, it would be better for you to visit the web-sites of the State Govts of Maharashtra, Andrapradesh, Tamilnadu and Karnataka, ascertain the minimum rates of wages fixed and then decide your own rates.

Dear Umakanthan,
Thank you for your suggestion. The minimum wages is lesser than the market rate, just i wanted to know in each city what other industry is paying. Based on this it is easy to plan our wages and other benefits. It will helpful if you tell me the present wages for 8 hours duty in your company.
Thanks & Best Regards

Dear Praveen,
When you acknowledge the post of some senior, that too person of the stature of retired Additional Commissioner of Labour, you could have addressed him as "Dear Mr Umakanthan" and not as "Dear Umakanthan".
I request you to develop ability to distinguish between when to be informal and when to be formal. You cannot be either everywhere, especially at the public forum like this!
Thanks,

Dear Dinesh,
I was not aware the Umakanthan sir designation, since the below mentioned signature line (Umakanthan Sir Reply) not came in my computer, i don't know whether it is a internet problem or some thing else. Even you can see i have posted once but it is 3 time posted in the cite site. Also half an hour i was not able to see my post.
Secondly please see my reply to umkanthan sir, i have mentioned "Please let me know wages as above mentioned in my first query in your industry". If i know that sir is Additional Commissioner of Labour (RTD), then why i will write 'your industry' in my above mentioned sentence.
Any way mistake is mistake, whatever it is. Thank you for your suggestion.
Dear Umakanthan Sir,
Sorry for my words, which was not proper. hope you will ignore.
Thanks & Best Regards
Praveen B
