Mam, U Don't take it as a burden. And don't spend much timing in go through the books. You just concentrate on your work activities with the help of Boss. This is the best exercise. The above acts which are intimated by Shri Mr. Umakanthan are all the important Acts which shall be playing regular role in Mfg sectors. You Just utilize the books only for reference purpose. The Best exercise for the begineers are Exercise. The above acts shall be utilize as a tool. For basic requirement and learning you just go throught the Above Said Acts Forms for knowledge and go through the Main sections of factroy act Health, Wealth, and Section 50 to Sec 66. In This Epf & Esi also some of the important statutories which has been follow in Factory vs Establishment. Congrats for your further steps.
Dear member, you can visit any law book seller in Delhi and select the book containing labour laws of your choice. So far as I know there is one shop -namely: Jain Book Shop, in Connaught Place, New Delhi.
Adding to what Logesh mentioned, I would like to tell you Poja that it is important for you as a HR Manager to acquire first thorough knowledge of the Acts and Rules that you come across in your day to day functions. You can get these books from any Law Book Seller as suggested by Harsh Kumar. Simply going through the bare Act and Rules will be a little bit confusing if you don't have a legal back-ground. So apart from book reading, you should devote considerable time and attention to the questions and answers finding place in legal web-sites like the Cite HR which will certainly enhance your understanding of the legal provisions with specific reference to their practical applications.
Hallo Seniors,
Could you please furnish a copy of Notification of Minimum Wages in Tamil Nadu for the Scheduled Employment "Shops and Industrial Establishment".
I have a copy of Notification of Labour and Employment (JI) Department G.O(2D) No.30 dated 29.5.2013. But I want to have confirmation if this still stands good or revised. If revised please help by providing a copy.

What you’ve mentioned is the G.O confirming the latest revised rates in respect of Shops&Estt in Tamil Nadu.
Dear seniors,
thanks a lot for your valuable advice, i still have a question to you please advice the same. As i have gone through the delhi establishment act as my company comes under the act bt there is basic information have been provided like leaves types and availing rules are not there only pl and cl have been provided.

And employees comes and ask me other leaves types general information such as maternity paternity leaves and there proceedure.
Mam don't share the acts to individuals with out getting advise of Dept. Head. In the same you have to go thru the HR Policy & Standing orders of Organization regarding this subject if any. If the individual does not entitle in ESI, surely she has entitled under Maternity Benefit as follows..
• Leave with average pay for 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after the delivery.
• Medical bonus of at least Rs. 1000 extending to Rs. 20000 if the employer is unable to provide free medical care to the women employee.(Section 8) (Amended on 15-04-2008)[2]
• Additional leave with pay for upto 1 month on production of proof, revealing illness due to pregnancy, delivery, miscarriage, or premature birth. (Section 10)
• In case of miscarriage, 6 weeks leave with average pay from the date of miscarriage. (Section 9)
