IS it true that by law, in Healthcare, for Managers and above as well as Consultants there is no such thing as a compensatory day off if you work on a Public Holiday?

The requirement differs by state.
However, for a consultant, who are actually independent professionals and not employees, there is no concept of compensatory off.
