Dear Mr. Prashant, Those who have already registered with PF has to continue to contribute to PF, even if their salary is in excess of ceiling limit. Abbas.P.S

Hi Prashant,
Now the ceiling limit of PF has been changed from Rs. 6500/- to Rs. 15000/-. Hence, employees whose salaries are less or equal to 15000/- will come under mandatory PF coverage. For those employees whose salary is above 15000/- will not come under PF but voluntarily they can opt if company allows.
Thanks,
Terance

Hai Mr. Prasanth
the issue is very clear. every employee & employer have to contribute PF amount for employee social security. now if any employee had cross over with the ceiling 15000, that is calculated for 15000 only. before the ceiling is 6500.
ex: the employee is having 50,000 basic salary
in that employee contribution is 12% of basic salary i.e. 6000
before amendment that ceiling is 6500, now it is 15000.00
any company or organisation should be follow that.
thanks & regards

Dear Prashant,
It is voluntary to provide PF contribution for employees who have joint after Sept 2014 and have either never been members of the fund or have withdrawn their fund and hence discontinued to be member of the fund. For employees who have salary beyond 15,000/mth.
However, employees who were members employed with you covered earlier due to ceiling of 6,500/mth will continue to be members along with additional members who have now become members after Sept 2014 due to increased ceiling of 15,000/mth. It is not possible to discontinue membership of the member where there is continued membership.

Mr. Abbas P.S. is right. The management can not deny to cover employees that are already members........ The PF contribution can be as explained by Mr. Manohar.
