Dear Professionals,
Wish you a great day ahead!!
Can anyone let me know, should an employer deduct PF Contribution from Employee salary for the month in which employee is under notice period, notice have been served by Employee himself/herself.
Case: Employee had tendered her resignation on 1st of November, 2014. Now we are in the process of preparing Salary Sheet of Nov. 2014. Should we deduct PF?

yes you have to deduct PF from his Nov-14 Salary whether it is in Full n Final or in Salary sheet. Notice period is only for Employer’s ease

dear sinha
the first thing you and the organisation must have is A VERY BIG HEART.
employer's share of PF on 6500 or max 15000 should not bother you. Rs 720.00 or 1800 .00 is not a sum you must worry about. you must worry about the impression you make and the branding and reputation you will make on all other workers.
the employee is eligible for it if he has performed his duties well in NOV.

1. An employee who has served the notice of resignation from a future date will continue to be an employee till date of his employment.
2. Therefore, contribution under EPF & MP Act, 1952 both of employees' share as well as employers' share is payble.

Thank to all especially, to DR BRIGADIER V RAMANAN whose suggestion is really remarkable.
Dr. V. Ramanan, actually, this wish was from Employee's end as the employee has got a remarkable hike in his salary where she is going to join and her salary will be out of EPF celling in her new organization. She has only two months old EPF account, so she was not willing to continue her EPF Account.
Now everything is clear, EPF has been deducted.
Thanks once again.

dear mr sinha
thank you
but why should your employee discontinue the PF scheme in the new appointment
if the management approves in new appointment she will be eligible for 6500 ceiling or upto the complete basic salary
