As far Performance Appraisal process is concerned by and large the process is same across the spectrum of industries. Cycle of measurement could be either quarterly or half-yearly. The difference from one industry to another is about measures of performance.

Before designing the PA process, you need to map your operational processes as well. You need to identify the process owner for each process. Secondly, you need to identify the various costs associated with your business. Essence of your PA will lie in assigning these costs to each department.
