Dear Rani Lata

Good communication in any field is important. Combined with relevant knowledge in your field, communication creates the base for your career path.

Liking HR subjects in world of academics and managing HR systems in the world of work are two very different aspects.

Young people like you who are fascinated by HR terminologies in study often finds it hard to manage HR systems in work place.

There are so many good reading materials on the web on HR. would suggest you to read them and understand what kind of HR practices happen in the workplace. You can also find through the web phrases and terms used in HR. Start working on your communication through active interactions on social networking in relevant area. You can also read through some articles in basic communication.

Good news is that- communication skills can be improved! so try to learn through books, news, web, friends, etc.

You may visit our portal: Mindshare HR Knowledge Portal for latest information and articles on human resource.

All the best in life!

Hi
I like what Anuradha said that liking and doing are 2 separate things.
You can definitely enroll in a personality development course or hire a coach to improve your communication skills. Joining a Toastmasters group will also help you improve communication and public speaking skills.
Since you have a technical background, I can suggest you look at job opportunities on the technical side of HR such as SAP HR consultant, or something to do with HRIS systems.
I hope this helps.

Hello Rani Lata,

I fully endorse the views expressed by Ms Anuradha.

In my view if the draft posted by you is your own, then your Communication skill is not as bad as you think.

All it needs is to do some fine tuning and application of simple rules of grammar.

I have corrected the draft and attached the same to enable you to understand.

The steps which I followed to correct your draft are simple.

I removed "and".

Put full stops.

I introduced a capital letter at the beginning of every sentence.

ENTER key was pressed to put one sentence below the other.

Only one word was introduced - "Interview".

Time taken 10 Minutes. So with little bit of learning you can also do it.

The single recommendation that I strongly advocate to all those seeking to improve Communication Skills is to

WRITE SMALL SENTENCES.

With the passage of time, you will certainly improve to write bigger sentences.

Use Cite HR to improve your Communication skills.

Please type Communication skills inside the box WHAT DO YOU NEED

that you find in the title bar right above.

After typing in the box, press the 'research' button next to it.

You will get lot of information.

You can also refer "Related Information" and 'Download Thread'

that you find in the right side of this message.

Afterwards repeat the procedure for slightly modified titles like “Better Communication”,

‘Written Communication’ and “Verbal Communication” etc.

Regarding the choice of your career you need to consult a suitable mentor, who knows you well.

Hello Rani Lata,
The simple idea is to have a personal coach where you can have speaking session for 2 hours daily for a period of 2 months and I am sure you can get the best from your trainer.
I don't know your location. I am in Erode, Tamil Nadu and a staff in a nationalised bank. I am an english trainer. you can call me on 9364292705 and mail me at babubless@gmail.com
Thanks
