Hi
Ours is a IT & ITES company of around 500 employees. This year we want to give some personalized gifts to all our employees in the budget of Rs. 200 -250 per head. These gifts should be durable.
Can you please give me some suggestions? What can be given in this budget considering our requirements.
Last year we had given personalized wooden pen stands & pen set with engraving.

Hi Deepak,
As per my point of view, u can give ur employees wall clock or table clock, Fancy paper weights, small travelling bag, Night lamp or even an antic Lord Ganesha Idol 4 a happy & prosperous new year.
These items r common but it can be used and works as a momento.

Dear,
I would suggest you to gift a SILVER COIN with One side your company name or brand and on other side of the coin Lord Ganesha or Sararwati.
This is the best option and it would be different.
I had suggested this in my previous company and it worked and all employees appreciated.
Work on the budget before putting this idea in front if your superior.

Isn't it an inconsiderate suggestion that silver coins with the pictures of Hindu deities be gifted to all employees, without considering the feelings of non-Hindu employees who are bound to be present in all organizations? I have always wondered why HR department does not take this little, but significant, fact into consideration while recommending such gifts to the management!

Dear Raj,
you are right, we should consider the religion factor in this matter .
Mr. Deepak, its better to gift a wall clock or table lamp or a silver coin with companies name on one side and companies logo on the other side.

Dear Raj,
Still i'm not agree with you in this matter.. where does come the communal racism here.. Its a festival which is been done everywhere with the pray of these Gods..
Keeping something with picture of God of different caste, i don't think will raise any problem between the employees.. if it is you may think of some other gift for the employees of different race...

Dear Raj,
I had never thought of specific religion. What i had mention is SARASWATI OR GANESHA. SARASWATI is
a education , which any human being can acquire it. here the matter of racism does not occur.
