I have been involved in campus recruitment on behalf of my company (a PSU). The procedure adopted by us is to write to the colleges giving a complete profile of the organisation and specifying the requirement.. All relevant information with regard to the number of posts we have, the job profile, salary and perquisites, place of posting and the growth opportunities are clearly spelt out.
The objective is to give all organisational details so that the candidates could decide if they should apply for the post.
If you are interested in campus interview, first speak to the Placement officer of the college followed by a letter giving the information mentioned above. Personal contact with the Institutions is very helpful.
