We are planning to hire some trainees in our company with Stipend. We have a plan to give them stipend during the training as they will be given some works so that we can assess their competency and thereby confirm whether they can be considered for employment. However we require some clarifications before proceeding the same;
1. Is minimum wages act applicable to the trainees.? Do they need to be considered under statutory regulations?
2. As trainees may require to do some activities which may provide the company some commercial benefit, will the rights of the work be reserved by the company by default or we have to execute some special agreement / statements stating the company has the rights of the activities handled by the trainee?
