I have a query on the notice period calculation.
In our organization we have a policy of serving 90 days notice period after an employee resigns. My query is:
If an employee requests for an early relieving, how should we calculate the remaining days of notice period?
Eg: if he has served 45 days, will we have to consider the weekend for the remaining days of notice period or is it only weekdays.
Option 1: 90 days - 45 days ( including the weekends )
Option 2: 90 days - only the remaining working days and adjust with the balance annual leaves he has?
Appreciate if any one can guide me in understanding the correct way of addressing this

Notice period is of 90 days which is inclusive of all days i.e. working/holiday/weekly off etc. so if the employee has served 45 days, the rest has to be adjusted from his leave balance or from his FNF. Hope this clears your query.
