A very good compilation, and thanks for the post. As you rightly began, every Indian knows the Father of the Nation too well. Even many foreigners admire him for his sterling qualities and laudable feats. People may recall that Mahatma was one of the strong contenders for the MAN OF THE MILLENNIUM award in a global survey that was conducted at the turn of this century. What many, like me, may not know is that he has left a wealth of wisdom for posterity. Some of the quotes above were rarely seen in the past, and I am glad you included them in your list.
