1)It undertakes welfare activities for it's members.
2) It represents workmen's grievances to management
3)It participates in collective bargaining process.
4)It defends workmen in domestic inquiries.
6) It espouses the cause of workmen by raising industrial disputes.before appropriate forum under the relevant statutes i.e I.D Act etc
7) It represents workmen in conciliation and adjudication proceedings.
8)It shall refrain from indulging from unfair labour practices as enumerated in Schedule IV to I.D Act.
