Dear All,
Request you to please clarify the term:- Lead Time in Recruitment.
Is there any concept of cycle time also in recruitment. What are the ways by which we can reduce the lead time in recruitment.

For high volume/ high attrition environments such as BPOs lead time or cycle time is the approximate days in which a position at floor/team lead level can be filled up. This is the interval between date a manpower requisition is received by the HR Deptt. to the date the selected candidate joins.
For this of course you need a fair amount of historical data to begin with, to come to a reasonable estimate of what it should be.
As for reducing it, one way is to keep on developing your " pipeline " of possible workers, to be tapped and validated afresh when requirements arise.
