Dear Seniors,
kindly let me know if any eligible employer did not enroll his company,w which is running since last 3 years under the act of ESI Registration after having more than 10 employees .
suppose he is interested now, so what kind of formalities shall be carried out :- means which date will be count for coverage:-
can he take the coverage of 6 months form current date :-

Its a Big Issue . The Establishment has to be registered under ESI from the day one of inception if it is having 10 employees . Contact for further Help

It will be more better if you contact the nearest office of ESIC i.e. office of Social Security Officer, or appropriate Regional/Divisional/Sub Office of ESIC to know about coverage procedure even online.

1. As suggested by Mr.H Mehta, you can visit ESI office near by to you and find out whether any Amnesty scheme is going on for late registration. If yes, atleast you can save interest and penal action.
2. Registration is must and services are helpful for employees.

There is no amnesty scheme in ESIC so far as late coverage under ESI Act is concerned. Amnesty scheme is related to Prosecution cases filed under prosecution provisions as laid down in said Act.

Th« Corporation in its 161st meeting held on 28/1/2014 and 1412/2014 has

approved the launching of Amnesty Scheme 2014

1. to J educe the number of litigation by providing a mechanism for resolution of

dis iutes outside the court.

2. To earn goodwill of stakeholders and thus enhance the brand image of the

Co poration,

Keeping in view above factors, the New Amnesty Scheme 2014 provides for

the withd 'awal of all prosecution cases filed uls 84 and 85 of ESl Act and court cases

u/s 75 anc. 82 of the ESl Act upto 31st December 2013 subject to following terms and

condition: :.


L. DISPUTE OF COVERAGE The Scheme shall include all cases filed

in which the employer has disputed the coverage which may be settled

subject to the following conditions:

Dear Neetu,
1. Normally, ESI Authority will ask u to register and pay the contribution from the date of incorporation of your Co.
2. Find out from Local ESI office whether any Amnesty scheme is going on ? If yes, u can take advantage and avoid penal interest and other action by ESI dept.
