Anything which is convincing should serve the purpose. Why not you join some short term certificate course and say I was doing this course. Alternatively you could have joined with some of your friends and helping them in their business or your own family business or agriculture to spend the time till such time a better offer is coming forth. And so on. Better await your offer letter which is only going to reduce your anxiety.
