Hello all,
What is the reasonable Marriage leave can be requested to in probation period. And one more thing can I intimate to HR while interview process that I need long leave for my marriage in next 4 or 5 months? Will it affect my chance of getting selected.
Any advise or tips are greatly appreciated.

Please enlighten us as to what you mean by "Long Leave". Kindly put yourself in the employer's shoe and tell us whether it is acceptable? You also need to tell us a bit more about the organisations size, nature of work, etc., to get a sound advice.

I want to know how many leave in term of days can be requested to HR for marriage in probation period.
Here Long leave points to leave at least more than 15 days.
I am looking for job change right now, so if I go for discussion with HR in MNC IT based companies will he/she accept my request for leave proposal at initial level?
And asking leave for marriage could lead to chance for me to get rejected?

It's a very touchy subject. I doubt very much your chance of getting any leave during probation period. And surely if you mention this fact during the interview your chance of getting selected is very remote. Think it over before choosing which one comes first.

If you are getting married in the next 4 - 5 months, why are you looking for a change right now. You can very well do so post your marriage when you have settled down in your new life cycle.
Making a change after marriage will ensure that you will have paid leaves (assuming you are already working there from long) and can enjoy more at the current company.
Being frank at the time of interview will always be appreciated, but the chances of getting selected minimizes. Also taking a leave afterwards, the employer can say why were they not informed earlier and may reject the leaves or say that resign and go.
Therefore advice that look for a change post your marriage.

This Leave talking about any other person says From HR sir I want To Leave for 3 to 4 Month, than Hr Says Why do you want to take so "Long Leave" only 1 month have take Kindly I think put yourself question really you should have to take Long Leave.........

Like Ashutosh Thakre suggested/mentioned, as far as possible, avoid changing jobs IF you intend getting married during Probation.
Change the job AFTER your marriage.
We had a similar case last year--the Joinee says he mentioned that he was getting married during the Interview, but it didn't SEEM to have been recorded/noted by the Interviewer in the Interview Rating Sheets--I mention 'SEEM' because I am not really sure if it was an oversight OR by-intent on the part of the Interviewer OR was the Joinee bluffing.
Consequently, the guy joined, got his marriage leave with great difficulty--but the price he paid was extension of Probation & lost onsite opportunities.
In a nutshell, better be safe than sorry I guess.

Dear, first of all let me convey my best wishes for your getting selected. All issues come after you have been selected. There is no leave like "marriage leave" in the list of nature of leaves as of now. I am surprised (pl don't take it otherwise) as to what will one be doing during 4 to 5 months leave after marriage. To me it only shows about one's devotion and sincerity towards his other commitments. I have come across some cases where an individual takes a job to fill in the gap between present and some other future plans like cracking UPSC/State PSC exams or similar issues. They are least bothered about what happens to Company's affairs, if they proceed on long leave.

So my dear, if you too have similar plans, I would request you not to mar the fair chance of employment of some other candidate. If you are serious about employment, go ahead with your marriage plans but take a reasonable period leave, enjoy and fulfill commitment towards your family, newly wedded spouse and the Company too with due importance to all. After all it the Company who is helping in leading a decent life style.

Fully agreeing with Mr AK Jain. There are company's/organisations who want family settled people too. There is no harm in communicating in post interview session about your plan of getting married. In interview normally focus is given to your seriousness towards working/job, dedication and devotion and other things are not so focused.
Granting of leave, largely depends on the type of company. If the company is professionally managed, and MNCs, they
have fully laid down leavy policy which shall allow/disallow the employee, availing leave during probation period.
Generally speaking, granting of leave (will full salaries/wages) will not be allowed during probation period, even for
marriage. and any leave so availed, will be counted as Loss of Pay.
However, the above depends upon company policy. In our Company, if employee is getting married, we allow
one full work week (with preceeding & succeeding Sundays) , even if the employee is on probation or otherwise.
