Dear All, I am a Junior Training & Placement Officer of a College working for past 9 months. Suddenly I was given a show cause by the principal of the college with the feedback of my reporting head (TPO) the show cause was.

Sub: The Show Cause Notice

You are hereby to show the cause for the following:-

i) You are in the habit of availing leave without any permission from the authority; availing unauthorized leave is neither desirable nor permissible considering the interest of the students of the college.

ii) You have been given responsibility of arranging campus placement for the students; however it is observed that in case of campus recruitment drive arrange in the past, you were not present in time for the assigned responsibity during such campus drive. It appears that you are not willing in such coordination activities during drive.

iii) You will appreciate that students are to guided properly regarding training & placement, as and when they approach but in case of unauthorized absence, they could not contacted yourself.

iv) Your casual approach in guiding the students is not acceptable as per towards you job responsibility.

v) There is a lack of coordination on your part to operate with training & placement department of SKSgi, which goes against as underlined principles of operation.

vi) You are alleged to have shown disrespect and insubordination to your officials which goes beyond the laid out official duty.

On receipt of your reply Management will decide regarding your continuation with present assignment.

I have already given a reply to the show cause but I didn't received any feedback from their end,

The reply was:

Respected madam,

In receipt of the Show-Cause notice I beg to lay down as follow:-

i) I met with an sudden road accident on 09/07/14 at 9.36 A.M and have immediately informed to our respected Principal over phone from the spot. I have also conveyed her that I would be coming to the office after first aid but due to unbearable pain, I was unable to attend the office on that day. I again called her up to inform the same at 11:27 A: M.

When I got the X - ray report, Doctor confirmed that I had a wrist fracture.

Moreover I already conveyed verbally, (HOD, TPO Cell ) & our respected Principal Madam that I am three month pregnant before hand.

Due to this accident I was not only in a physical ailment but also was going through a mental traumatic condition, may be because of my pregnancy.

I am attaching all the necessary documents and medical reports (X-ray, Ultra Sonography) for your kind perusal and information about my truth.

I had taken leave from 3/07/14-5/07/14 due to my father-in Law (A severe Dialysis patient) sudden break down of his heath and have been admitted in ABC hospital for multi organ failure. In this scenario I have verbally informed you. Sorry for not giving written application on this note after I came back on 7/07/14.

I resumed office on 14/06/14 after taking bed rest for a couple of days, which was advised by the Doctor.

Apart from this I have not taken any unauthorized leave from my end which can be verified at your end.

ii) I have always activity coordinated and arranged each & every Placement drives as per records. I have also received written compliments from the concerned HR who have visited in our premises as informed by my HOD. I have never missed a single Drive and I have supported my students till late hours at night 10-10:30 PM. My place of residence is , 15 Kms away from the campus, but I never complained about late staying in the office due to the exigencies of my work as well as responsibility.

iii) I have kept a Daily Progress report and also I have soft copy as a proof of my Daily work in my working mail ID ... but from yesterday(23.07.14)I was not allowed to access my working mail ID. The proof of my work if tampered is now beyond my control.

iv) For me my students come first and foremost and I have made myself available 24*7 in my cell phone for my students which can be understood by the positive oral and written feedback from them more than once. The Placement record of 2014 is a clear picture of my smooth coordination with my students & Dept. i.e. out of 135 student strength 32 has been selected and 30 shortlisted in SYN total 62 students got placement in (As evidence given in our website:)

v) For guiding student I regularly coordinated through phone calls, mails, and notice and even visiting them personally in the Ladies Hostel (as instructed by Director /Princiapl & HOD) during Placement drive is a evidence of sincere approach.

• Fact dated: the drive of ABC Incorporation which I conducted for the Btech & MBA dept single handedly started the telephonic round without the presence of any TPO staff even our HOD in the campus. The negligence has been shown from the department head and Mr X (Jr. TPO, Mngt block) was absent on the date of the drive. Later on I requested Mr Y who had helped me on that day.

• On the Placement Drive of MNC Company for MBA/BBA conducted by me I did not received any support from my HOD even I had to process the TA bills of the HR personnel’s single handedly, which could have created negative image about our Institution to the HR officials due to delay of the TA Bills. I was new but no consideration was given to a Trainee employee.

vi) The companies which I have contacted and convinced personally for Placement Drive of our college from my old & new contacts are:

1) ABC

2) DFG

3) IJK

4) LMK

5) XYZ

Are few of them in my nine months of my probation period which I suppose is not a bad start.

Apart from all these I have never shown disrespect and disobedience in my brief tenure with my senior officials. What ever instruction my HOD has given to me I have completed it with uttermost sincerity and urgency. Eg giving order for banners of SYN on Sunday as instructed by HOD & Principal.

Whenever My HOD asked me to go to Kolkata for Office visit on short notice I went and successfully met the HR and invited them for campus Drive.

The report I have already given to the director & our HOD which was very satisfactory. The reports attached herewith as an evidence for my official Tour.

Keeping in view the above, I would request you to kindly not take any action against me rather in my case further successful confirmation of my probation period may kindly be considered.

I again assure you of my utmost loyalty so far as the performance of duties is concerned.

After so many days no reply has come. I am totally stressed. This has became a trend of my HOD to fire a new employee.

I think you are a victim of 'use the services and fire the employee' case.
Look out for a new job as you can't do much in this case. If there are any higher officials, you can try to speak with them.

and rather excel.
But if your hard work, dedication, leadership skills, initiative & drive, loyality and sincerity
is not appreciated by your management with vested interest, try to grab a new job.
