Respected All, I am planning to start a HR consultancy of my own. Can someone help me by suggesting:
1. What legal requirement ?
2. Forms and formats related to candidate and for company ?
3. Procedure to proceed ?
4. Terms and conditions for candidate as well as for company ?
5. How to approach company ?
At present based on proprietorship I prepared:
1. Consultancy name 2. logo 3. stamp 4. letterhead and 5. visiting cards
Please help me for this issue.

Dear Member,

As you are running your proprietorship firm by any name and logo its ok for now, but later on you have to get enrolled in Companies Act to work as Pvt.Ltd Company, and then 2 or more directors can be appointed in your company with your consent.

After total billing of 10 lacs in an annum of your firm you have to go for service tax registration, as its mandatory as well as various big companies wants that their vendors( Placement Consultants/Companies ) must work as a company and also have service tax registration.

Apart of this you can also go for logo copyright of your company so that no one else can copy it . As "LOGO " itself presents companies image in market, people,companies recognize your logo, hence it is also an important part of it.

As your running this business from little bit of time hence your companies website, separate e mail id's will be there , i guess.

For better tie ups make your organisation quality policy,mission, vision, process flow chart to ensure any one that organisation is running in very professional manner.

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. Well this is the first step which I took. Actually I am in process of making profile, aim, mission as well most important is formats for candidate and for company. Still I am looking for support in these issues. If you can then please help me regarding this.

If your budget allows you may also apply for ISO 9001:2008 (QMS) Quality Management System Certification , as this is an international certification provided to various trades for better documentation,record keeping,internal management,monitoring. This certification emphasis on document management and covers entire activities,departments of any organisation and apart of companies balance sheet,profit loss account,turnover,funds,loans and liabilities.

Before certification on consultancy,documentation and training part consultant will provide various formats,guidelines,policy,process flow chart,manuals,organisation chart and frame out a standard documentation system which has to be followed by your company through day to day activities. This training part is only to introduce about documentation,record keeping,analysis and over all monitoring of activities in very organised manner.

Hence i would suggest you to apply for ISO 9001:2008 Certification, internally it will frame the system and externally it will put good remarks in market when you use " An ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company " and international quality assurance logo on important places as website,catalog,visiting cards,promotional materials,invoices,identity cards,company profile and so on.

With your permission, may i ask you the following:

1. Why do you want to start a HR consultancy firm.

2. Where is the office located

3.There are many players in the industry, what difference can you make.

4.Why should any client come to you.

5.Whats the special thing which you can give to your clients and other big players cant.

6.What kind of market survey have you done.

7.What makes you feel confident that your's can be a success story.

8.What are the all the services you want to include

9.What is your marketing plan/business plan

10. Whats your background.

11. What are your short term and long term goals.

Please dont feel that i am discouraging you. I want you to be successful and thats the only reason i am trying to know if you have perfect answers for the above. There are many HR firms which just start and close within no time.

Preparing the formats is no big deal. You can prepare by yourself/search on cite hr/ seniors can provide.

Please dont start without a proper business plan. Discuss with seniors all your business plans and let them criticize. Learn from it.

If you place an ad for recruiters , there will be many people knocking your door, but if you say you want clients, no one will come to your rescue.
