I am currently working in a small self owned company. I need to provide payslips to my employees and Im currently in dilema about the hours that i should enter on the pay slips. it would be great help if u can suggest me with any ideas?
Here is how Im calculating right now
Full Time employee works 40 hrs pr week. I(employee) get paid monthly and my annual salary is 78,000 per year. I get 6500 every month based on the Annual/months calculation. My question here is every month the number of working hours are different but my pay is constant. In payslip I need to show average hours of that month. so I'm keeping 160 as average for every month. Is that correct or do i need to do something else.
please suggest me as i have to pay the employees and provide them with payslips

Dear friend,
To me your query seems to lack clarity. Firstly, you haven't mentioned what your company is - whether a factory or shop or any other type of establishment covered under any particular Labour Enactment. Secondly, when you are paid on monthly basis and your normal working hours per day/week/month remain the same as per the Law applicable to your company but for the overtime work,if any, how your normal working hours would change? Thirdly, even the Wages Slip prescribed under the Minimum Wages ( Central ) Rules,1950 requires only the over time worked. Then what is the necessity to mention the average hours worked in a month in the wages slip? Is it as per your own regulations?
