Hi,
Yes it definitely depends on various situations, as gap in CV leaves a very bad image to any employer, but we all are human beings, some incidents, accidents happens some times when we are unable to continue our job, it depends on situations and conditions.
Brief your cause of gap to interviewer if it was due to family issues, health issues, if possible keep proper records f any ,
Say the true things to employer, they should know and realize that you telling the truth,
Apart of this sharp your personality, skills, upgrade and update your knowledge trade wise, answer their questions confidently,if not aware of any question say sorry to them politely ,your spark should be seen by them in you , zeal, confidence, passion to work such things fullfills such gaps soe time.
Best wishes

Recently, somebody asked the some question at our Website which motivated me to write a small article on the Subject.
