Govt. of Maharashtra has revised the rates of Basic as well as Special Allowances effective from March 03, 2014 in respect of Construction and Engineering Industry. Please find attached following:
1. Notification of revision in Basic in respect of Construction Industry;
2. Notification of revision in Basic in respect of Engineering Industry;
3. Notification of revision in Special Allowance of Construction and Engineering Industry; &
4. Minimum Wage Rates upon above revision in respect of Construction and Engineering Industry.
In two months gap, this is a second increase in the rate of minimum wages of above said industries.

I will be happy if the construction labours get this much wages.
Today construction labours in Mumbai are getting wages not more than Rs. 250/- per day. This is known fact to every one including wage committee members. This increase will be benefited to law enforcing authority. Todays rate of Rs. 500/- per labour per officer will go up by 100%.
