Dear all
I just want to ask that if an employee is taking leave for 5 or 6 days including sunday then sunday will also treated as a leave or not.for eg. If a person takes leave on friday and sat sun is holiday and he comes on wednesday then sat sun will be counted as leave or not.

This is also called as sandwich leave policy. As per the statutory and even the government organisations considers Sunday as off. So it is considered as 6 days. But many organisations has their own leave policy where in they exclude Sunday. Once again on the benefit of employee if the management wishes to exclude Sunday then you can consider 5 Days leave.
On the above cases both the options are there. It is better to discuss with the management and follow as a Leave policy
