Dear Friend How to handle union if they are demanding more salary beyond the employer expectation. Please suggest.

I dont understand why they demanding more salary ? what is reason behind it ? please explain. If you are paying them less then minimum wages ( of concern state), then its a legal violation and you should pay them minimum wages.

Hi Jyotiji,
Issues of Unions are generally very crucial. It needs lot of care and intelligence to handle the sensitive issues like Salary.Employers expectations doesn,t work when it comes to working on salary issues, because Govt has its own set legislation worked out for protecting the wages and salary of employees. You need to first cover your organisation/employer on legal front in respect of all the labor legislation.Anything then out of the legal frame demanded by Union can be resolved by amicable meetings and mutual agreements.

Dear Manmohan Singh ji,
I feel, you should stand in others' shoes. Asume, you are in employment and drawing more than minimum wage rates as prescribed by respective government and think over: i. you are expecting more; and ii. what you will do individually to accomplish your expectation?
Law has given you a right to bargain with your management collectively. There is nothing wrong if you expect more.
Also, there is no wrong to expect reasonable share in employers' profit. You have your contributions in it.
Hope I have given you an answer.

Expectations of employees will always be there.. Whatever non-monetary benefits you are extending, you cannot purchase anything with those intangible benefits. With the cost of living going up, price spiral happening, an average employee will expect a pay hike to make both ends meet !

Hi Renu,
Can you pls help me out with this query :
My concern is that if any organization registered for EPF in March 2014 and got the registration number in march 2014 & then paid the challans of employees from Dec 2013 onwards which results in delay payment for Dec 2013, Jan 2013 & Feb 2013 challans.
As the registration was done in march 2014 so there was no other option to stop the delay payment of challans from Dec 2013 to Feb 2014. So, please update me is penalty be applicable on organization for these 3 challans or that can be waived off as practically that was no one's fault.
The Coverage Confirmation date is March 2014.
