Hi All,
I am working in a real estate company. I have a query. Eg i have a position of Sales manager in my organization and i have interviewed a candidate, and he is fit for the profile. every kind of discussion has been done with him. Now the problem is i have came across another candidate with more and good exp then the previous one and can join at lesser salary what i have offered to 1st candidate. but 2 candidate will be available for the interview on 16th and 1st candidate is continuously asking for offer letter. i dont want to loss 1st candidate coz i have not interviewd the 2nd one.. Any way out so that i can assure the 1st candidate for his joining but by not rolling out offer letter. in case 2nd candidate is not fit i will be rolling out offer letter ASAP. what kind of written letter can i give him for his assurance.
Thanks,
Meghna

Do not keep in abeyance for the 1st candidate, if you so much confident that the 2nd candidate can be fit then you can give assurance that we are in the process for finalizing the candidate and it will take about an week.

Dear Meghna,
You do not get confused. If both the candidates are found suitable to you and then select one among them without keeping assurance to the candidate. Salary is not a major thing for right candidate. You always evaluate the candidate by virtue of his qualifications, experiences and his attitudes etc and more important is he should be cooperative and reliable person. Do not think about the salary, if you are offering good salary, people will stick on, if you are offering less salary they will hunt for another vacancy.
