DiSC assessment has its origins in the book written by William Marston in 1928 titled “Emotions of Normal People”. Marston, an American psychologist, feminist theorist, inventor and comic book writer who created the character Wonder Woman.
Marston actually describes four behavioral styles as below:
D – Dominance
I – Inducement
S – Submissive
C – Compliant

Hi, It makes an interesting reading. In the acronym D,S and C alphabets appear to be self evident. What is Inducement? Is it some kind of Provocating? V.Raghunathan
