My interview from a recruitment to a generalist role!!!
Hello all i will try and cut this short i have been doing recruitment for the last 2 1/2 years in consultancies in my city and i know there is no other field tat i can take up cause this is the only one i am comfortable in or infact most familiar with but i am fed up with recruitment and want to move into an hr generalist role and even though i know i have no experience in a generalist sort of a role i am sooo willing to learn but since i have done quit well in recruitment no one seems to have moved me from that profile. i have just shifted and am going to start giving interviews but don t know how to go about telling them tat i want a generalist role and i am sure i will pick up fast just one opportunity and a little guidance is all i need. and also if you guys can give me some guidance on how to go about the interview i would really appreciate it. thank you namrata.

Switching over to hr generalist from recruitment
Dear hr fraternity i have completed my masters in personnel management from pune university with 2 years of recruitment experience in international as well as domestic market in it industry. i am looking to switch over to role in core hr functions rather than just recruitment. till date i have not got a chance to be in hr generalist role and i wish to prepare for interviews. my current organization has deceived me by giving me exposure to recruitment function only whereas they promised me hr generalist role when i was selected. so what kind of questions would ideally be asked to me? would they just be recruitment related or would they check my knowledge in core hr functions? since i need to brush up in case they are going to be on core hr functions how should i update myself about it in order to clear the interviews successfully? i look forward for guidance from all of you. : with best regards anil. anil.wadekargmail.com
