Please be clear, marriage registration certificate or proof of marriage is also not require to get benefit under MB Act, the Act has used word women, not any married woman or something else.

Maternity Benefit is the benefit of leave and salary given as per the Act to a female employee who has served at least 80 working days.
The Act never says Married woman or Married woman with name changed after marriage etc.
in one single line the requirement are these: (1) Woman (2) Pregnant (3) 80 days of actual service.
As HR Professionals, we should focus on the issues and set aside non-issues.
