Hi, I initiated PF transfer in the month of Oct'13, and I got an SMS from EPFO that my settled amount has been transferred to a bank account number. When I checked with my current employer, they told me that so far we haven't received any information on the same (it's been 6 months now). What should I do?

Hi. It is better to check with the EPF office. They will be able to give the exact answer. You can even check the status over online if at all you aware of the full EPF code

Then it's better to approach the PF office and explain things. They may help you. While going, it's better to take a copy of the bank statement from the period of application submission till date. Any details you need can be obtained by contacting me at the information provided below.

EPF bank transfers take an abnormal amount of time with banks. Check with the bank to inquire whether the cheque is still with the bank or currently under clearance. You may be surprised to receive a response stating that, for some reason, it is still under clearance and they will also offer you interest for the delayed period.

I agree with Mr. Pon. When you have initiated your PF transfer, it will affect your new PF account. You have to initiate your PF passbook online or get the PF statement for the year 2013-14, which will reflect the amount transferred. Your current employer will not receive intimation; it will directly affect.
The bank account number received by you through SMS is the bank account number of your current regional PF office.

You may want to check with the PF office where you submitted the transfer form. Alternatively, go online and click on the link that mentions "get Passbook" for your new PF account and check the PF balance.
