I just fail to understand this unprofessional mentality.
Any business requires tremendous effort to get it off the ground. There are opportunity costs and that is what one has to factor into their business plan before starting a business. If this level of thinking does not go before embarking on the journey of being an entrepreneur it is better that the business does not exist at all.
If you can't pay someone for the time, effort and value that the person brings to the table then you have to put additional efforts to get clients. The very fact you are seeking external support is that there is a short coming in your existing business development team. Why would somebody put the effort to go and market your company and get business for you? In today's scenario a new client takes between 4 to 6 months to mature, usually indian companies have this tendency to use professionals for building contacts and after 3 months they drive the professional away on grounds of non performance. However when the deals mature after 5 or 6 months they do not reward the professional since he is no more part of the company. This is a fact.
Suggest you build a good BD team. If you cannot afford then increase your efforts that is the only way of improving and growing your business
