Hello,

I am working with a school as an admin assistant from past 3 years, 1st year I want appointed on contact basis then on completing that period and considering my work and efficiency I was appointed on probation in the second year, I this year I got married and was on leave for 2 months for which I had given an written application and was granted leaves without pay for that period then on completing my 1st year of probation I was given a letter stating that my probation period has been extended for 1 more year, during my second year of probation I had to take some long leaves due to certain personAl reasons which was again granted me as leave without pay. As per the practice in school if an employee completes 2 years on probation then he/she is given confirmation. I am about to complete my 2 years of probation in few days but now I have received a letter stating that my probation period is extended by 5 and half month, reason for extension is not mentioned in the letter but I have been verbally conveyed that this is due to the leaves without pay availed by you during last 2 years of probation. Any such rule is not mentioned in my appointment letter. I have just been verbally conveyed about this. In last 3 years I have done my job with utmost dedication n sincerity for which I was appreciated several times, due to some personal issues I had taken leaves but always informed the school about it. Please advice what can I do In such situation? Can I ask the management about the reason for my extension and ask for my confirmation as I was not notified about any such rule during my probation period nor verbally and nor in writing. Please advice

-Leave while on probabtionary shall be considered for extension of probationary period.
-Extension of probationary period shall be notified along with reasons.
-seek clarification from management by making a letter to them
