My name is Ana and i work for a cement company, consider to be one of the most important companies in my country, Colombia. My office is located in Barranquilla, a northern city near the caribbean. I work for the human resources department and my job is consider to be a multitask one. Some of my duties are, build a werlfare plan for employees by offering innovative and creative activities finding the balance between work and moments of relaxation, additionally i am in charge of encouraging co-workers through incentives, not necessarily monetary, seletion processes between others. I need some tips of new simple innovative activities for the welfare plan; for example i celebrated the international day of happinnes it was a success because people like this simple iniciatves, we as head of the human resources department need to motivate employees by using their emotions, and tips to encourage our colaborators through incentives like time management so i can implement them in daily plan. It would be of so much helo if you can share some of your ideas.

For the welfare of the employees and to motivate them we can celebrate the holidays in useful manner and for the relaxation also.The employee welfare also includes certain facilities or services to improve their health and efficiency.The HR is a mediator between the company and the employees but also should speak for the employees welfare.This will keep the employees for long duration in the company and will attain a better workforce.And the educational,medical facilities will also be available for their families.So can encourage these kinds of facilities.Make awareness of the company benefits to the employees and how to utilize in a proper manner.

Hi Lauren, thanks for your help. Basically, what i need is to implement creative activities for the welfare plan and new ideas to encourage people by using their emotions. In Colombia we celebrate many holidays and we are consider to be a multicultural country, so we have many motives to celebrate. For example we have pre carnivals and carnivales in January through March, employees had the opportunity to participate in parades, carnival activities with the queen or watch the parades in the terraces. The participation in this activity was completly new and the colaborators responded well. The company that i work for offers a complete benefit plan. This plan includes conventions with insurers, multiple loans, compensations funds ect, so i need something different, innovative, creative, simple ,and specially not expensive. We are a big company with presence in the US and the caribbean.
