Dear Friend
It is Depend up on the Rules framed by the Inspector of Factories. There are many procedures are there. External test will be conducted by them with in 6 months. Another test is called Hydrologic test. This all will be conducted by the Inspector of Factories. It will vary state to state.

Process for getting license from Govt for Certification of Lifting equipment can any one guide on this

There is Government Certified Engineers for issuing certificate for Lifting Equipments. Track down the Engineer by yourself or ask the subordinates in your I.F. The Engineer will visit and inspect your lifting equipment and issue certificate. The certificate should be renewed every year.

PV has to be checked on a bi-yearly or half yearly basis. Could be any month but the gap should not exceed six months.Tthe Inspectorate of factories will inspect physically and issue the certificate.

All the pressure vessel testing is done by competent person , authorized by the Factory Inspectorate, the frequency for testing of Pressure Vessel is every half yearly & hydro testing is done every four years. But the pressure vessels in SMPV rules needs hydrotesting every two years.

Hi
Inspector of Factories has the right to inspect and issue the certificate for pressure vessels, there are four types of PV Tes
1. internal Test once in every 6 months
2. External Test once in a Year
3. Hydrostatic Test Once in every Two years and
4. Ultrasonic Test once in every Four years.
When ever u r company buys the Machinery pls go thro the catalogue or manual with his attached with the machinery,then u can have a idea of pressure vessels testing .
You have to prepare from 8 (pls check it up) and make the challan ready then u call the IF for inspection.
